As we reach the halfway point manufacturing over 10,000 tunnel segments for the Silvertown Tunnel in London for our client Riverlinx CJV (BAM Nuttall, Ferrovial, SK Ecoplant) we take a more in-depth look at this great project in the November issue of Concrete Magazine.

It’s a quick read but you’ll find out how we’re making carbon conscious segments using a GGBS content of 40% and how steel-fibres in 6,750 of the units is eliminating the requirement for steel cages, hence greatly reducing the cost and CO2 content of units.

You’ll also learn how we’ve dedicated one of our largest production halls to manufacture the units, employing a static mould system, believing that this enhances our efficiency and quality control.
