The €16.5 m Kerry Sports Academy allows people from all sporting disciplines to enjoy, prepare and compete to the highest standards.

This state of the art facility was designed to a 24 m span, a decision was made to use precast concrete floor units to minimise vibration from dance studios and gymnasia along with the added benefit of an accelerated construction programme. Double Tee’s also have the added advantage of providing a safe working deck for the installation crew.

Consisting of a concrete frame and masonry infill, the building wraps around the sports hall on 3 sides. Long span pre-stressed Banagher Double Tee beams up to 24m form the floor/roof structures, providing the flexible spaces required for the building’s mixed use.
