English National School of Ballet, London City Island

Architects Glen Howells designed the new home for the English National Ballet School on London City Island. At 93,000 square feet the building incorporates seven rehearsal studios, a production studio, education spaces, gym and Pilates areas along with a hydrotherapy pool, music room, café and viewing area.

Long Span Solution

The studios could not have central supports interrupting the space so using our W Beams and Banagher Double Tee’s provided the ideal solution for these long spans. The added benefit of the reverberation properties within the concrete flooring was also important for functionality for the dancers.

Our highly skilled transport partners delivered the W Beams and 50 double tee units to the care of Ballymore in this unique London location.
