Banagher Precast Concrete have recently been awarded the contract for the supply of Prestressed Concrete Bridge Beams and Permanent Shutter for the A8 Belfast to Larne. The Main Contract was won by the consortium of Lagan Ferrovial and Costain.

The Scheme will provide 14.4 kilometres of new dual carriageway from Coleman’s Corner Roundabout to Ballyrickard Road. Work on the dual carriageway started in late 2012 and is expected to take two and a half years to complete.

The Scheme consists of a number of bridges ranging in span from 20m to 40m. Production has commenced and the first of the Bridge Beams are due to be delivered to site in May.
