Banagher Precast Concrete have just completed the delivery of 18No. W14 Beams for the Sarsfield Road Interchange on the N25 South Ring Road in Cork. Each of the W14 Beams weighs 95 tonnes and were delivered to site on specialised modular trailers.

Siac Construction won the Main Contract to carry out the works. Due to the location of the site traffic management was a major issue. The logistics of getting such large beams into such a confined site and through a heavily trafficked area was far from simple. Extensive planning went into the operation which involved liaising closely with the Gardai and Local Authorities.

The contract also consisted of two other Bridge Structures utilising our W7 Beams and over 2km of Precast Parapet Panels.
